A finely carved dark coromandel hardwood sculpture of a balinese duck farmer. It depicts an old man wearing a traditional straw hat, a woven basket under his arm (filled with duck feed) and holding a stick in one hand. This duck farmer herds his zeven ducks into the rice fields. Ducks are a significant part of rural life, used to fertilize rice fields and remove harmful pests.
